Hamid Mir (Urdu: Øامد مير) (born 23 July 1966) is a Pakistani journalist, news anchor, terrorism expert, and security analyst. He participated in international conferences. He also writes columns in Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, and English newspapers and hosts a political talk show on Geo TV as Capital Talk. He was twice banned from Pakistani television by the government of Pervez Musharraf in 2007,and by the Zardari administration in June 2008. He has also received Hilal-i-Imtiaz for his works.
